Hatcham Temple Grove Free School, London

350 metres of H2OWAT65 self regulating heating cable was supplied and installed in order to provide hot water temperature maintenance to the schools HWS pipework.

Telford Co-Operative Academy

Within this brand new state of the art academy, set to open in September, ESH designed, supplied and installed a frost protection trace heating system to the external LTHW and BCWS pipework on the buildings roof.

Flocktons, Grimsby (Storage Tank 2)

ESH Trace Heating Ltd Tank Heating SystemPart 2 of this Flocktons project saw ESH design, supply and install a second storage tank frost protection system. Again using type FBT self regulating trace heating cable, this tank required only the lower half protecting. 150 metres of heating cable was installed in total to this 2.5m dia x 6.5m high storage tank.

Flocktons, Grimsby (Storage Tank 1)


ESH were contracted to design, supply and install a frost protection trace heating system to a large storage tank, 3.5m dia x 6.5m high. In total over 220 metres of type FBT self regulating heating cable was installed to achieve the required heat loss replacement.

Penrith WWTW

For this waste water treatment project, ESH designed, supplied and installed over 600 metres of self regulating trace heating cable. The site requirement was to frost protect the external ABS pipework at +5°C in a minimum ambient temperature of -20°C. Type FBT heating cable was used throughout this project.

Stockport WWTW

ESH were contract to provide frost protection trace heating to external pipework and a large vessel. Just under 800 metres of type FBT self regulating heating cable was supplied and installed on site to prevent the formation of ice.

Plymouth EFW (Energy From Waste)

This facility will provide South West Devon with one of the most efficient energy from waste plants in Europe. For this large frost protection application, ESH split the project into two separate systems:

  • System one was designed, supplied and installed with type VC constant wattage heating cable onto the range pipework, the manifolds and gel skid pipe, incoming feed, deluge and cannon feed pipes.
  • The second system was for the frost protection of 400mm NB steel pipework associated with two hose reels. ESH supplied and installed type ESRS self regulating cable in order to prevent the pipework temperature dropping below +5°C.

Stepan UK, Cheshire

The project scope here was to design, supply and install a trace heating system to temperature maintain three sections of pipework at +30ºC and +10ºC respectively. Almost 500 metres of type FBTBOJ20/2 self regulating heating cable was installed and controlled using multiple digital thermostats and control panels.

University Hospital Of Wales, Cardiff

Supplied and installed a trace heating system to temperature maintain hot water pipework at a minimum of +55°C. Type H2OWAT55 self regulating heating cable was straight traced onto the copper pipework.

5 Hyde Park (Rackspace Ltd), London


This was ESH's first project here at Rackspace's ultra modern UK headquarters. Part one, of this two part project, saw ESH design, supply and install a trace heating system to temperature maintain the internal hot water pipework at a minimum of +55ºC. Type H2OWAT55 self regulating heating cable was installed throughout to achieved the required temperature.
